fun with a new toy

Nyet Imya (Russian for No Name) was born to Petrova while I was in the hospital having a whole hip replaced. The vet said he was a she but that proved to be wrong. He is a most unusual kitten for this cattery since he carries colorpoint genes from both parents that look like what most people consider the norm for the Siberian. In TICA he is still a Siberian. Some registries would call him a Neva Masquerade. He is a delight to have in my lap and I had the fun of "teaching" him to eat solid food while at the dinner table. A big mistake since he now has to investigate every meal that is set there. I plan to keep him and possibly show him at an upcoming TICA show where I will be clerking. We will not be breeding him -- just a small bundle of fur  that likes to curl around my neck. So far no purring. I will update the pictures from time to time. For now we have a few of his early days and one portrait taken 25 June 2008
