Welcome Fishheads

Flash  Flash  Flash

We were selling our bait online but have stopped for a short time. Since I am having trouble providing it and so many folks are asking for it, I am going to put the recipe back on the Stinkbait Page until we can get things rolling again. Read the warning before you start.

Read all about it on the Stinkbait Page.

Experts agree, "This bait is easily worth it's weight in diamonds."
Well, probably not but you could make a batch and decide for yourself by clicking here.

(You gotta be kidding?)

Dean Johnson (right) and family with the fish
story of all times. While trying to catch a few
shad for some striper fishing, the castnet came
up with a big surprise. No accurate weight was
taken of this big blue catfish but my bet is it's
a new castnet record for catfish. The fish was
netted in March '04. After many ohs and ahs,
the fish was released.

Kay Troyer and a fat
Lake Tawakoni whitebass (sandbass).
The fish was caught trolling
along the 2 mile bridge.

Katie, Gary and Jake
with a whopper Texoma
blue catfish weighing in at
35 pounds. June '01.
Big Mineral Camp.

This big largemouth was caught
by Robin Andrews at
Lake Fork on April the 13th '01
(Friday the 13th).
The fish had all the
bad luck when it jumped
on a Culprit in Bell Creek.

Karen and Olin Schiffman with a
dandy channel catfish caught while
fishing in a North Central Texas
stock tank. Karen and an
earthworm claimed rights to the
fish while Olin gets special mention
for a great assist. Special thanks go
out to the weather, frogs, moon and
a few bluegills for making this an
enjoyable afternoon. April 2001.

Kimberly and monster bass

Kimberly Miller got a big
surprise while crappie fishing at
Big Mineral Camp.
This huge black bass was the only fish
that was interested in the minnow on
her cane pole.
11lb 7oz  was the certified weight.

Randy Sabella with a 26 pound
blue. This trip also produced a
23 and 17 pounder. Feb, '01.

Aaron and Warren with a pair of nice ones.

James Aaron Hughes and
Warren Laney with a couple
of nice blues that went
18 and 17 pounds.

LAKE TEXOMA .
Cold, wind and rain made
this a tough
weekend for fishing.

This page is intended to help anyone who wants to try his hand at fishing.
The pages are full of things that might help you and links that you might
find interesting. Near the bottom of each page is a blue navigation bar
that contains links to other pages on this site. Each page contains
information, pictures and links that are related to fishing. Most of the
content is catfish related but included are pages dedicated to deep-sea and
trout fishing. Striper fishing is the big draw at Lake Texoma and we are
learning the ropes. You can see how fast we are picking up the tricks on
the Texoma Striper Diary page.

The Stinkbait Page is a recipe for the best stinkbait in the
solar system and you can now buy a jar and avoid the misery
of trying to mix up a batch.

The Fillet A Catfish Page walks you through a pretty good way
to clean a catfish. Two pages Fishhead Friends and Fish & Kids are both
pictures submitted by friends and readers. If you have pictures of your catch
that you would like to see on those pages, the information for submitting
can be found there. In addition to rod and reel fishing, juglining is a popular
way to catch catfish in this part of the world. The Jug Lines page is a
description of the way we do it. Hopefully, there will be additional images on
the jugline page very soon. Take a good look around and let
me know if we can help.

Want to see the Texomaland Live Cam?

I love catfishing of all types and might know a lake in Texas you haven't
been on or a bait you haven't tried. If you would like the recipe for
my "Bells of Hell stinkbait"(weapons grade) go to the Stinkbait page.
We fish many lakes in Texas , but Lake Texoma is the place to hook-up
with a big fish. All our fishing on Texoma is done in the Big Mineral
arm and we fish out of Big Mineral Camp. The camp is pretty handy
to where we fish and they have cabins, boat slips, gas on the water, good food, and a
fish cleaning station. We also have a camper we store in a lot.
The storage fee for a year is a real bargain. When we're ready to go
fishing, we give them a call and they pull it to a campsite. Pretty handy.
