Family Statistics

A very rough projection, using the families I have found thus far, is that a Revolutionary War era ancestor could very conceivably, and very easily, have 10,000 descendants through the year 2000, 60-80% of which could be alive today. So, for each Revolutionary War era ancestor you find, chances are you have a lot of "cousins" out there. The Jacob Feather Genealogy, published in 1980, had over 6,000 descendants, and was missing some branches. So, for the five main trunk lines here, there could be 50,000 folks out there interested in these pages!

Thomas Taylor - 192 descendants, but almost all of that comes from one of at least 7 children, so that will grow.

Jacob Feather - The 1980 published genealogy by Edna (Davis) Rogers lists 5,877 total descendants and 2,978 spouses. This was without one branch - Sarah (Feather) Beaty's - and is almost 20 years ago.

We have accounted for 296 descendants of Michael Millirons. But, that is only partial accounting for only two of his ten children. So, we are missing a lot of folks here. There are 221 descendants of John and Martha Jane (Earhart) Millirons that we have accounted for. 103 are also in the Taylor tree. All but about 6 or so are also in the Johnston tree.

I have not accounted for all descendants of Archibald and Mary (Nellist) Johnston tree yet, but have 300 entered into PAF and still counting. 103 of these are also Taylors, and these 103 plus about 110 others are also Millirons. Then, there will be the other descendants of John & Helen Johnston: the Canadians and the Michigan Wolverine's. That number should easily go over 1,000, approaching 2,000.

Note: We are way behind in keeping up with most families. Please send me updates of your family, including addresses, dates and places of marriages, deaths, births. (Note, this information will not be put on the web for living people) Thanks.
