Compass Rose Archaeological, Inc. is an archaeological consulting firm comprised of four key professional archaeologists who have over 100 years of combined archaeological experience in California, the Channel Islands, Mexico and the Southwest.

This consulting firm has undertaken cultural resource management studies in California since 1993. The projects to date have included archaeological monitoring in Los Angeles, Ventura, and Santa Barbara counties, in addition to Phase I surveys and Phase II and III archaeological excavations. The work has been performed for the completion of CEQA and NEPA (NHPA, Section 106) compliance documents.

In addition to the four key archaeologists, Compass Rose also employs other archaeological personnel, as well as architectural historians, who are used on a project by project basis. The company has three California offices, located in Van Nuys, Topanga, and Ventura.

Compass Rose is fully equipped with state-of-the-art computer technology and software, photographic equipment, transit and stadia, as well as excavation, survey, and laboratory hardware. The company maintains an extensive research library of over 2,000 reports, publications, and documents, most of which deal with the central and southern California area. Compass Rose insurance coverage includes general liability, professional liability, and workers' compensation (proof of insurance is available upon request).
