Our wood frames are the highest quality genuine hardwoods, with furniture-grade finishes.  All are genuine walnut, cherry, or oak.  All have brass locks to keep your valuables safe.  Inside the frame are two pieces of foam. The bottom layer is a 1" (apprx.) thick foam pad which provides compression for your item, the top layer is an 1/8th of an inch (apprx.) thick color foam pad which serves as a background color. The Walnut comes with red foam, the Oak and Cherry come with a charcoal foam. We offer Foam backed velvet as well, an affordable way to create a richly textured background for your item or items.  Available in three depths: 2" 2-1/2" and 3-1/2", the 12 X 18  is available in 5" depth.

Note the quality corner construction. Our frames have all wood backs, this is very important for durability and integrity of your items. 

How Do They Work?

Our hardwood frames operate on pressure, just position your items where you want then close the top. Note: When you open the frame, there will be two pieces of foam inside, one is a 1" thick white foam pad (for compression)  the other is an 1/8" thick color foam pad (for background color). When you close the top your items will compress into the foam and lock into place. The dimensions listed below are the exterior dimensions. The 2" depth will accommodate an item up to 1" in thickness, the 2-1/2" frame will accommodate an item up to 1-1/2" in thickness and the 3-1/2" frame will accommodate an item up to 2-1/2" in thickness.

Can I Hang Them on the Wall?

If you are interested in hanging our wood frames on the wall, we recommend using either Saw Toothed picture frame hangers or Screw Eye picture frame hangers (w/ the proper gauge of hanging wire). When you flip our hardwood frames over, you will notice a seam running around the perimeter, just tack either the saw tooth or screw eye hanger into the seam and it works perfectly. You can find these hangers at any hardware store. We offer hardwood stands for table top displays.
