"Days" of Our Cast

When "Days" premiered in 1965, of the current cast, only 10 were out of school and in the working world. 2 were in high school (along with Ken Corday); 2 were in middle school; and 4 were in elementary school. Another 5 were too young to yet have started school. Finally, 17 of the cast were not even born yet when "Days" went on the air, November 8, 1965!

Bill Hayes (Doug)....................preparing for the stage play "Brigadoon" in Milwaukee; married to Mary Hobbs; 5 kids.
Deidre Hall (Marlena)................just graduated from high school in Florida with twin sister Andrea.
Peggy McCay (Caroline)...........portraying Susan Garrett on the soap "The Young Marrieds."
Frank Parker (Grandpa Shawn)...appearing in the soap "Never Too Young."
Frances Reid (Alice)..................debuting in the role of Alice Horton on "Days of Our Lives"; married to Philip Bourneuf.
James Reynolds (Abe)...............in the Marines stationed in Hawaii as an Information Service Officer.
Suzanne Rogers (Maggie)..........a dancer in the famed Radio City Rockettes in New York City.
Susan Seaforth (Julie)................portraying Carol West on the soap "The Young Marrieds."
Josh Taylor (Roman).............starting law school at University of Colorado; married to Geanne; 1 daughter Tristen (born 11/18/64).
