Company History

After working several years as a title searcher and settlement clerk, Steve Jenkins started Jenkins Abstract in 1977 under the name Pioneer Abstract. Jenkins Abstract was started with the idea of providing more personalized service than the larger companies who dominated the industry at the time were providing.

In 1980 we became agents for Chicago Title Insurance Company, now the largest underwriter in the nation. In 1985, we also became agents for Old Republic Title Insurance Company (formerly Minnesota Title), another major national underwriter.
