My first book, Heartwaves__Daily Meditations for Children (July '97), is an attempt to redeem a painful past by helping others. The 366 stories were created out of my own experience as well as that of the children I serve as school counselor. They were written with simplicity and humor and are indexed alphabetically by subject. |

Sally WilkinsInsider's Guide to New Hampshire |
The Insider's Guide to New Hampshire one of the Insider's Guides series: detailed, informative guidebooks to various locations around the United States, each written by two people who actually live in the place they're describing. My partner, Nancy Elcock, and I are writing this book as a "work-for-hire," which means the publisher hired us to do the research and the writing, but they own the copyright. Insider's Guides include all the information you'd expect from a travel guide--places to go, sleep, eat, spend and spend. For New Hampshire we've written chapters on skiing, watersports and fishing and hunting, as well as all the great tourist attractions and arts and cultural activities New Hampshire has to offer. Our lodging chapters cover a range of options from elegant hotels and country inns to inexpensive motels and campgrounds. We also include information you'll find helpful if you're moving to New Hampshire: health care and education, real estate and retirement options. Check out our chapters on history and the natural world to get an idea of what life is like here. And scattered through the book you'll find interesting stories and useful tips to make you feel at home here in the Granite State. The Insider's Guide to New Hampshire will be available in bookstores across the United States in November, 1997. |
