I
wrote your name in the sky,
but the wind blew it away.
I wrote your name in the sand,
but the waves washed it away.
I wrote your name in my heart,
and forever it will stay. |

Sassy,
registered name Sass-A-Fras Sue, Born March 22, 1987, went to the Rainbow
Bridge March 11, 1999. Mother Silver Moon Dust (Dusty), Father Ch Windy
Cove's Dream Weaver (Kory). Sassy was a very happy dog who constantly
wagged her tail especially when I talked to her. Even at her last moment
when she was so very weak and sick. She won a tail wagging ribbon in the
Walk for the Animals on May 15, 1994. That tail shook her
whole backside when ever I talked to her.. From a puppy she always wanted to sit in my lap or be
constantly with me. She was the most relaxed dog I have ever seen going
completely limp and falling asleep in my arms. I believe this was because she so trusted me.
She loved belly rubs and always slept in our bed from the age of eight
weeks old. Some of the breeders of
champion Cockers in her family were Artru's, Kaplar's, Rinky Dink and
Shardoloes but she was champion of my heart. We miss you so much and the
love and happiness you brought to us sweetie......

Sassy with
her Mom Dusty. They were always together and her Mom must have been a
good teacher as Sassy was housebroken almost immediately and never
developed any bad habits like chewing or destroying things.. |

Sassy loved to go
boating with us. She didn't care much for swimming but would always wear
her lifejacket. She always looked like she was smiling
|
|
Sassy was very good
with children her only line of defense to get away from
them, was to lick them. She never growled at them, she loved kids and
other dogs. |

I Only
Wanted You
They say
memories are golden well maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories, I only wanted you.
A million times I needed you, a million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly, In death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place no one could ever fill.
If tears could build a stairway and heartache make a lane,
I'd walk the path to heaven and bring you back again.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

Sassy knows it's
Easter season
Giving reason to believe in
New life that from the earth emerges
Flowers, grass, all with a purpose
Like the life which she once led
When with Barb she layed her head
Soft and dear, a smiling cocker,
In her arms Barb loved to rock her
Now she has a different home
Still close to Barb, she never roams
Sheltered now by flowers and trees
Always in Barb's heart, Sassy will never leave.
Happy Birthday, sweet Sassy.
