WHY JOIN?


...Because, If you are looking for something to do other then school activities, and you want to learn all about boats. Sea Exploring is for you!!!

The Sea Explorers are a branch of Boy Scouts that teaches High school aged youth (male AND female) skills used in today marine world. The Propeller places most value on diesel engine engineering and repairing. We also teach the traditional sea scout skills, such as: Knot tying, navigation, splicing, and small boat handling.
The S.E.S Propeller is a 65 foot ex army T-boat. It sleeps 20, It draws 8 feet in the stern and is 16 feet in the beam. The Propeller is located in Seattle, Wa, on Lake Union at Water Way 18. We hold our meetings on Thrusday evenings at 7:00 until 9:00. If you are interested and want to be contacted you can call the Ships phone at 669-2405.
In order to raise money the Propeller takes charters to the near by Blake island. In order to get to Blake however, We must travel through the Ballard locks. If you live near the locks there is a good change of seeing us every Saturday morning, during the summer.
