The only major leaguer ever to hit grand slams in both games of a doubleheader when he hit two against the Brewers on May 20, 1999.  Only the 19th player to hit grand slams in back-to-back games.

Earned 6 Gold Glove Awards at third base (5 in the American League with the White Sox, 1 in the National League with the Mets).  Only Brooks Robinson (16) and Buddy Bell (6) have more Golden Gloves among AL third basemen.

Holds the White Sox record for most games at third base with 1,254 in his 10 seasons in Chicago.

Hit 2 grand slams and had 8 runs batted in against the Texas Rangers on September 4, 1995.

Registered his 1,000 career RBI with a solo home run off Pirates pitcher Rich Loiselle on September 19, 2001.

Hit his 200th home run on September 1, 1999, against the Astros off pitcher Chris Holt.

Hit his first major league home run on April 18, 1990 at Comiskey Park off Roger Clemens of the Boston Red Sox.

Made his major league debut on September 12, 1989 at Baltimore. Walked in his first major league at-bat.  In second plate appearance he got his first major-league hit off of pitcher Ben McDonald (a teammate of Robin's in the 1988 Olympics).  Also, collected his 1,000th career hit (a home run) off McDonald on August 17, 1996 at Milwaukee.
