The word anglophone was socially engineered by the mad scientists in the PQ govt. in the late 70's. Doctor doom Camile Lauren and what a nice guy Rene Levesque used the term anglophone to coerce the English Speaking Quebeckers into making them believe they are a minority in this province and in the county of Canada. The word Anglophone was planted into the Quebec populations vocabulary in order take away any territorial legitimacy and historical identity by the English community.The word Anglophone subconsciously has made the English speaking Quebecers believe they are a minority thus allowing the separatists to trample over there rights.
Did you ever wonder why the nationalists always try to avoid the term Quebecois anglasie???
Are the people in Ontario anglos??? or are they English speakers.
How about the Franco Ontarions territorial legitimacy good definition. Anglophones nothing. Acadians same.
There is no province called anglophone. Were do we belong???? If we live in Quebec we are anglophones if we move we are ex Quebeckers..
The United nations on march 31 1993 in regards to bill 178 declared that English speaking Canadians living in Quebec are clearly not a minority but full members of Canada's majority population.
So when we allow our provincial government federal government, our opposition parties, our media and ourselves to use the term Anglophone then we are perpetuating this marketing ploy by the separatists.
Are we Anglos??? You tell me.
