Here is a diagram of my open window flying crank ghost.
I used metal bars that are made for pegboard shelving brackets and attached them to some wood boards that led over the window sill into the house. I attached the motor to two paralell bars so it couldn't tip to the side. At the end of the two bars I attached a third bar to form a wide T. The arms attached to the outside ends of the Tand the head beneath the board in between the window and the motor. On the inside of the windoe I used a brick (and a spare bowling ball) for balance.
