Words From Eulogy at Jeanette's Funeral Spoken by Friend
& Colleague Lloyd Nolan - January 18, 1965
"There were other voices--other lovely faces. What was different
about Jeanette? Why is hers the voice and the face we shall always remember?
It was that last of her God-given gifts. It was her infinite capacity for
love. Love for her devoted husband--love for her family and friends. But
even more, it was her love for the entire world that brought rapture to
Jeanette's voice--and rapture to those who sat entranced and silent as
her message of love poured forth. When Jeanette sang, there was more than
music. There were soft winds caressing young leaves in a silver maple.
There was sunlight in a field of golden wheat. There were moonbeams on
a blue-green sea--a sea that matched her blue-green eyes. There was warmth
in her heart and in her song--magic in her voice--tenderness and affection
for all mankind."
