A response to the charge that the Catholic Church kept the Bible from the people by promoting the Vulgate Bible which was in Latin a so called "dead language."
 

LATIN  OR  VERNACULAR  BIBLES,  WHICH  WERE  THE  BEST  ?  

The Catholic Church promoted the Latin Vulgate over the Protestant "reformation" era Bibles not in order to keep the Bible from the people but to ensure that the copy that they had was the most faithful and accurate text.
