Welcome to the J & V Studio web site. We are a small all digital project studio located in the central part of West Virginia near Weston. J & V Studio is dedicated to providing acoustic groups a high quality and reasonably priced recording.
Let me begin by saying I'm not in this to get rich. I know how difficult it can be to find a studio that understands acoustic music. That's why I started this business.
I have more than 10 years of experience in the audio engineering field mostly in Bluegrass music. I also have over 20 years experience as a Bluegrass musician. I have played in traditional and contemporary Bluegrass bands. I also work with Country and Gospel bands. I'm so confident you'll like my work, I am making the following offer.
I will record one song for free. If you're not satisfied with it, you owe me nothing. If you like it, we'll include it on your album. We also have mastering available. While not required, it is highly recommended. I use DRT mastering. He also guarantees his work. If you are not happy with his work, you only owe him for the blank materials. I know for some of you in adjoining states, it may seem like a long drive, but I also have space for you to park your camper for a weekend session if needed.
I wish could record full time, but like most of us, I have to have a day job. For that reason I only record on weekends and evenings.
My rates are as follows:
Payment is expected at the end of each session.
$60.00 for blank materials
$50.00 per song/up to 4 hours per song, (includes mixing)/additional time, $15.00per hour.

250 colored J-cards & shrink wrap $475.00
CD Packages are also available.
Studio musicians available on the following instruments: Banjo, mandolin, fiddle, guitar and electric bass.
