


The uncle and the rest of the village are shocked to discover that his nephew, Chad (Hill Harper), is half-black. Chad finds Ireland tough to deal with, but finds solace in a beautiful young woman (Aislin McGuckin), who just happens to be Brady's daughter. Their involvement brings out a dark secret shared between Brady and Egan for decades.

The World Premiere of The Nephew was at the Virgin Cinema in Dublin, Ireland, on August 21, 1998. The film opened in theatres in Ireland on August 28.
The Dublin premiere was part of a publicity tour, which included stops in Paris, Barcelona and finally Haugesund, Norway, on August 29, 1998, where it was entered in the Norwegian Film Festival. It then moved on to Germany for press premieres in Cologne and Berlin on Sept. 1 and 2.
The Nephew has yet to be picked up by a North American distributor, so write your favorite studio!
