I have been involved in bonsai since 1976. It started as
a hobby to keep myself occupied after a car accident. Previously I had taken up pottery and had made several varieties of bonsai pots. Now I wanted to fill them but I lacked the horticultural knowledge.Four years at college gained City & Guilds 1, 2 and 3 and several diplomas including the Royal Horticultural Society diploma.

While running my own garden business, I began selling bonsai at craft fairs, making my own pots to suit the trees, but eventually I decided to concentrate full time on bonsai, and now supply several large horticultural outlets.
