PERSONAL PAGES

A Model of an Internal Evolutionary Mechanism: Based on an  extension to homeostasis this (testable) model proposes an internal evolutionary mechanism linking "Stationary-Phase Mutations" to the "The Baldwin Effect".

Segmentation and Vertebrate Origins: A general theory is described below which explains the origin and subsequent evolution of segmented organisms. The obvious segmentation of arthropods and the internal skeletal segmentation of vertebrates are considered as instances of the same phenomenon: anatomical repetition within an organism. A specific theory is described and illustrated.
