About This Site

This Ohio site will avoid posting most pictures to conserve web space for printed and graphical information which take less space.   Links are provided to sites with pictures.

This site formerly included a set of MapBlast! maps pointing to the locations of Ohio covered bridges.  This feature had to be discontinued when MapBlast! encrypted their code so as to make the old maps unusable.  Currently the "maps" page merely lists Ohio covered bridges without links to maps (and ads).  The ODOT site (see below) now has a set of maps of bridge locations, so this site will merely describe bridge locations to complement their maps.  

Some tour directions are provided to some Ohio covered bridges and also to some covered bridges in neighboring states.  These are offered "as is" because roads can change without the author's knowledge.

For those staying at home, there is a listing of known jigsaw puzzles that have pictures of covered bridges on them.  An attempt has been made to identify the covered bridges that are pictured.  It should be noted that most artist's drawings are unidentifiable.
