Tour of Covered Bridges of Eastern Washington, Monroe & Noble Counties, Ohio

From the southwest quadrant of the I-77/OH7 interchange, go STRAIGHT across OH7 on Acme Street to a "T" and turn RIGHT on OH26. Go north on OH26 about 4.7 miles. Turn RIGHT on C333 to Hildreth CB#35-84-24. Cross over new bridge to parking area.

Return to OH26 and continue north on OH26 for about 12 more miles, past Mail Pouch barns near Dye Cemetery and at Moss Run, and also past a park outhouse. Turn RIGHT at T34 to Hune CB #35-84-27.

Continue north on OH26 about 3.5 more miles to C406. Turn RIGHT to Rinard CB#35-84-28.

Continue north on OH26 into Monroe County. About 2 miles past the county line turn RIGHT on T38 to Long/Knowlton CB#35-56-18.

Return to OH26. Continue north on OH26 through Graysville, and past another Mail Pouch barn (on left), to Woodsfield if you want LUNCH. Return south on OH800. Shortly past its junction with OH255, turn RIGHT on C40 to Foraker CB#35-56-14.

Continue on C40 up a hill and then veer slightly to the LEFT on C12. Continue on C12 for about 3 miles to another acute-angle intersection. Turn SHARPLY RIGHT on to C68 and follow C68 back to OH26 at Cline. Turn RIGHT on OH26 for about 3 miles and then turn LEFT on OH537. Look for guinea fowl and wild turkeys along the roadway. (Drivers look for sharp curves in the road!) At Marr, turn RIGHT on OH260 into Noble County. Turn LEFT on OH145 for about 4 miles then turn RIGHT on OH564. After about 4 miles look for Huffman Wood CB #35-61-57 on left. You probably will not find it because it was destroyed in a flood in June 1998!

Continue northwest on OH564 to OH78. Turn LEFT on OH78 past OH821 to the Noble County Fairgrounds. Turn RIGHT into the fairgrounds to view Otter Slide CB#35-61-40.

Continue west (RIGHT) on OH78 for about 5 miles through Sharon to C9. Turn LEFT on C9 for less than a mile and turn RIGHT on T36 and follow this road to Manchester CB#35-61-33.

Continue on this road (as it changes numbers) until it emerges on OH78. Turn RIGHT on OH78 to return to Sharon. At the crossroad (at the general store), turn RIGHT on C8 and after about 2.6 miles, look for bypassed Parrish CB#35-61-34 on the left.

Turn around and return to Sharon and turn RIGHT on OH78 to I-77. Turn RIGHT on I-77 into Washington County. Exit at Macksburg and take C8 off the southbound on-ramp! Continue on C8 to Schwenderman CB (#35-84-20) on left.

Continue south on C8 and to OH530 and go south on I-77 to return to Marietta.
