Welcome to
The Phil Collins WebRing
ATTENTION: I received the following e-mail from
Brian Bagley from The Early Show on CBS-
“Hi Joseph,
Hi, I work for CBS The Early Show. On Friday June 23rd we are having Phil Collins perform on our plaza located on the corner of 59th and 5 Avenue. The concert will take place at 12 noon, but we ask for everyone to come down at 11:00 a.m. This is a free concert but we ask for anyone who is interested to RSVP at BagleyB@CBSnews.com. I wanted to know if it would be possible to post this on your site. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.”
So if you’re interested, let Mr. Bagley know!
The whole point of this ring is to get a more comprehensive list of Phil
Collins related sites. If you have a Phil Collins page, let me know! The ring
is designed to increase the amount of hits for each member page.
If you don't have a clue as to who Phil Collins is.... Phil Collins was the
drummer, and later on, lead singer of the supergroup Genesis from 1970-1996. In
1981, he launched his solo career with his album Face Value that contained the
atmospheric, ground breaking song, In The Air Tonight. His third solo
effort, No Jacket Required, won the Grammy for Album of the Year 1985, and
launched him into superstardom. His subsequent albums established him as an
artist/performer concerned with more than lost loves. From homelessness to
terrorism, Phil Collins has written pertinent lyrics on today's societal decay.
I want to mention that this site, this ring and the sites in the ring, are in
no way affiliated with Phil Collins, or his management company, Hit & Run.
This is totally unofficial.
The only qualification for joining the ring is that you have a Phil Collins
page, or to clarify even further, you have to have your own Phil Collins web site.
You have to have a complete page that has something to do with Phil Collins.
If you do not have a site, but would like to talk about Phil and his work, join
the Phil Collins e-mailing list, Sussudio.
Just click on the link to get more information.
Once you are a member of the ring, the only thing I ask is that you put on the
Phil Collins WebRing logo. The logo is used by your site visitors to get to
other sites in the ring.
I'm a very hands-off ringmaster. I don't bother anyone. I don't have a monthly
e-mail for ring members or anything like that. The only time I e-mail people is
when I check around to make sure logos are on, or if something they've
submitted doesn't fit the ring or if I can't seem to check their site out do to
server errors.
This web ring will be far more up to date than web engines as long as I can get
it right!
I want to thank Magnus Kristiansen and Chris Bollerer for their help and suggestions at the very beginning. They have helped me, one way or another, in taking this further step. I would also like to thank Edwin te Nijenhuis for designing the logo that you see in the upper left corner of your browser. Thanks to Jens Theysen for designing the logo that appears at the top of this page.
