    This site originates from Southern New Jersey, where Burger Chef had a presence in the 1960's and into the 1970's. Below is a list of some Burger Chef locations here.

-closed c. 1973, later Arthur Treacher's Fish then a Pizza restaurant

Route 38 and Longwood Ave
Cherry Hill, NJ
-Closed mid 1970's, later was Italian Restaurant
 then Popeye's Chicken. Building was demolished and presently an MRI radiology center is located there.

Delsea Drive (NJ Rt. 47), 200' North of Cooper St (County Hwy 534)
Deptford, NJ
-opened 1967/68, closed 1972. Later in 1972 became Me-n-U Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria, remodeld but reconizable as a former BC.

Route 9
Freehold, NJ
-Closed mid 1970's, Currently Verizon Phone Center, previously Dunkin' Donuts

Hamilton, NJ
-Closed 1980's, today Fame Restaurant

Route 30, White Horse Pike
Hammonton, NJ
-Closed late 1970's, later was Burger Ette currently Nino's Pizzaria

-Closed late 1970's; later was Burger Hause, Steve's Burger & Ice Cream Hause, currently Boston Market

-Closed 1976-78Remodeled into Bank of New York, behind current Shell station.
--Sign can be seen in movie The Beneker Gang.

-Opened September, 1966-Closed mid-1970's, presently a check cashing agency.

Route 38-East of Route 73
(Fomer Nichols Shopping Center)

-Later was Bread Basket Bakery,
 demolished in 1981

Route 73-North of Marlton Circle
Marlton, NJ
-Closed c.1971,vacent until demolished in 1977
Site vacant (becoming wooded), foundation remains, highway off-ramp/overpass scheduled to be built in front of site as part of Marlton Circle replacement.

Millville, NJ
-Located on outparcel of Pantry Pride market (today IGA), demolished late 1980's-a dry cleaner/laundry now occupies the site.

Route 38
Mount Holly, NJ
-Closed 1980, later Burger Broil, demolished and replaced
 by KFC.

-now Starbucks Coffee

-Lasted into the 1970's

-First location in South Jersey.

Pennsauken Mart Site

-Closed early 1970's, Later a pizza place- then Chinese restaurant,
 today a seafood store.

Route 9
Pine Baech, NJ
-Later became a Roy Rogers outlet (still operating), recently renovated.

Route 88
Point Pleasant, NJ
-Later a pizza place. Was razed by fire- today the site is open land, part of county park system.

228 Black Horse Pike
Runnemede, NJ
-Later Spaghetti House, currently Wachovia bank.

Route 37
Toms River, NJ
-Now part of Pine Belt Car Dealership.
    Another location was in the Silverton section of Tom's River, closed in the early 1980's, now Wonder-Hostess Thrift Shop.

Trenton, NJ
-Now Nino's Pizzarama.

Turnersville, NJ
-Became Arthur Treacher's Fish in mid 1970's.

-Later Arthur Treacher's. Site was acquired by neighboring McDonalds for construction of replacement building.

-Opened mid 1970's, this location used Burger Chef's formal look architecture and was short lived.
