WELCOME...
Finally - We have recordings of the music !! (well, not all of the music, but we're working on it!) so you still have to suffer with the midi format for
listening to most the music!
BUT, the price is right - free
(see below for limitations concerning commercial use). We've been adding new hymns to this
page as time permits, so check back about every three months for updates. We're always
interested in hearing comments on any of the music you've used or on the
layout of the site (which I'm trying to improve as time goes on). You can sign the guestbook at
the bottom of the page and leave comments there, if you want. You will see that they ask you
for information about your web address - if that makes you uncomfortable just e-mail me
directly(jubilatum@aol.com)
As of June, 2000 we've begun adding mp3's, which you can download and play on your computer like a CD. We have A NEW COMPOSER - Stephen McManus, from Ireland.
Stephen's music is supplied in 4 part harmonies with organ accompaniment. You'll find a sampling here with more to come, soon!
Look for the
sign next to the new songs.
Liturgical music is a form of prayer, please treat it as such. Permission is given to use
these religious hymns in conjunction with worship and liturgy and to print and distribute this
liturgical music freely for that same use. In the spirit of prayer and in the spirit of the
net, these hymns are given freely and they should be used and passed on in the same way.
It's that simple! You can check below in the song directory for a listing of what songs are
by M.McCawley or S.McManus

To See, Hear and Download the Music
The hymns were written, using NoteWorthy Composer(TM)version 1.55 NoteWorthy
Artware, Inc.). The shareware version of this program is available for free at the above
link and will allow the user to print, play or arrange the *.nwc files I have posted. The registered
version is $39. PLEASE NOTE - THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO VIEW, LISTEN TO OR PRINT OUR MUSIC!!!
This was the best deal I could find(unsolicted and uncompensated endorsement!).
This is the easiest and most reliable way of getting the files without some possible headaches.
BUT - if you have no desire to load any more software onto an already crowded hard drive you
can alternatively download the *.gif files, which are graphics, for M.McCawley's music. I suggest using the Noteworthy
software if you want a good print out with high resolution, the resolution on the gif's is NOT
EVEN CLOSE TO BEING AS GOOD AS THE NOTEWORTHY COMPOSER, but they can be displayed and printed by a number of software titles (including newer word
processing software).
There are midi files (*.mid) for both McCawley's and McManus' music that you can download with the *.gif, so that you can hear what the
music sounds like(not necessary if you use the *.nwc's) The NoteWorthy files have the arrangements with them, so if you want the full
score that's the way you'll have to go.
If you still have trouble finding a downloadable form, PLEASE e-mail us(jubilatum@aol.com)
and we'll try to work something out.
Some of the music is arranged by having separate pages for each of the liturgical seasons.
Click on the links below and you can read a brief description of the biblical reference
and uses for which the song was intended, to help you decide what you want. The page will also
have links to the specific song page where you'll find the NWC, midi and gif for that song with the
song displayed on the page. If you're using Netscape(TM)you don't have to
download the midi file separately - you just click on the 'recorder' icon and the music will
play in the background while the lyrics and melody line remain displayed. This is the better of the two ways.
We'll be posting more new and old music as time permits, so keep coming back.
Hope you find something useful. Make a joyful noise to the Lord!(Jubilate Domino)
