As most of you know, about 5 years ago, Kat conceived the idea of collecting  donations from JGfans  for the Jeff Gordon Foundation in honor of Jeff’s birthday,  August 3, and presenting it to him, in a special birthday card, at the Brickyard 400.

 

About a year ago, some of us discussed doing a raffle to add some interest to our fund raising project. So, this year, through the generosity and skill of Cathy Luther, we are happy to offer an incentive for each of you to open up those purse strings a little more.  For the past few months, Cathy has been working to make us two beautiful JG quilts from licensed JG prints (just so y'all know they are legal!). She tells us that finding that fabric was the most time consumming part of the project!

These are the two quilts that you could win!

You will have the opportunity to own one (or maybe, both) of these beautiful quilts and a few other surprise JG items simply by donating to the Jeff Gordon Foundation through our Birthday Donation Gift this year.  In addition to these 2 beautiful quilts, you will also have an opportunity to win a few other surprise JG items, which we will list for you in more detail later. But for right now we can tell you there will be a JG stand-up, 24 diecast cars and more. (waiting for more items to be donated) Check back here for an updated list.

Here is how the raffle will work:

 

The winner will be given the choice of which quilt they would like to own. Then the second quilt and the other surprise items will be awarded in a series of second chance drawings.

 

The number of times your name will be put “in the hat” is based on the dollar amount you donate to the Jeff Gordon Birthday Donation drive.  Below is a breakdown of dollar amounts donated and the number of entries you will have.  The raffle starts now and will run until August 4th (Checks and money orders must be received by August 1st) The drawing will be held August 7th and winners will be notified by email immediately following the drawing.  Oh yeah, and you need not be present to win. LOL We plan to take the “hat” to the track for Qualifying Day and have a person/persons in the stand do the drawings. Then I will phone someone from the track who will then notify the winners and post the results via email. Hopefully we will be able to put all this on a video and post it to this website a couple of days after the Brickyard 400.
