Welcome to Julie's Rats "Birthday Central"!

Hello.  My name is Julie, and I really love my pet rats.  They have taught me so much about unconditional love, responsibility, and appreciation for the simple things in life (a well-placed ear scritch, a dish of frozen peas, and the shaking of a box of yogurt drops, just to name a few).  The only bad thing about rats is that they live such short lives, and you have to say goodbye to them too soon.  I have read so many great tributes by other rat-lovers who have loved and lost very special friends, and I wanted to do something to honor the lives of my rats.

Instead of memorializing them after they die, I wanted to celebrate their lives while they're still with me.  This is why I started creating Birthday Pages for all of my rats who reach their second birthday (a nice milestone for a rattie!). Years from now, when all of my present rats have been laid to rest between the bushes in my back yard, these pages will still be around, and other people will still be able to experience some of the joy that my boys have given me.  Thanks for visiting, and I hope you enjoy my buddies as much as I do!
