Introduction

The Steam Boat Association of Great Britain began in 1971.
It now has 1000 members of which 750 are UK residents.

The aim of the association is to foster & encourage steamboating, bringing together those whose interests lay in small steamers. This is achieved through the following activities:

Regattas & cruises in various locations.

National & regional social gatherings
Seminars on technical aspects of steam launch engineering.
Four issues of " The Funnel" publication each year.
Boiler inspection facilities
Special insurance arrangements for boat & boiler.
Illustrated listing of members' boats with technical description.
Exhibition displays.
