The Lion King On Broadway
I (JWPanther) was able to see The Lion King Musical on Friday, April 2, 1999 -- Good Friday (And what a good Friday it was! (C:) I don't know what I was expecting when I entered the theatre, but I was totally amazed by The Lion King On Broadway (TLKoB). It just took the opening scene to make me sit in my seat, stunned by the greatness of the show. By the time "Circle Of Life" was over, I knew that I was going to spend quit a bit on TLKoB merchandise. The rest of the show was just as incredible as the opening scene. The music, the sets, the costumes, the lighting, everything was simply INCREDIBLE!!!. If I was to give TLKoB a rating out of 4 stars, it would get 10!!! If TLKoB comes to your town, it is a must-see. The tickets are $50 and up, but are WELL worth it. I plan to see TLKoB again when it comes to Denver in 2003 (or whenever it comes). TLKoB is definitely a must see, and I got to see it on Broadway in NY!
