 ............Here's an article from Jeff Ethell dealing with the events of 15 August 1944 - the Sturmgruppen assault on the 303rd BG over Wiesbaden. I have no information on what journal this originally appeared in - and I'm unfortunately missing the end of the piece - you'll need to scroll across to read Page 3 - but you get the idea I'm sure. It is probably worth comparing with the coverage in the Lorant/Goyat JG 300 opus - there are numerous factual errors in Ethell's piece when dealing with the German side - but still an entertaining read ..The profile is a representation of Gerd Stamp's Bf 109 during July 1944 as Gruppenkommandeur I./JG 300- note the tall tail and the absence of a spinner spiral
