"My watercolors evolve through
a unique combination of
many elements, most of which I can never duplicate. Every time
I pick up the brush, I am excited to see what journey I will take
and what surprises are in store for me. I know my subject but do
not know how I will express it in paint. It comes from somewhere
within and when I finish I say "yes that is what I saw and how I felt!"
I want you to feel it too and I think that is why my paintings evoke
ethereal, moody qualities."
I have lived in Ohio all my life and enjoy the beautiful landscape our area has. I am currently living in a rural small town with my husband and two children. I have spent many quiet hours sitting or hiking in the woods, enjoying all the wonderful things nature has to give. Many of my landscapes and florals reflect the the quiet solitude of a day outdoors. I like to bring nature inside and you will often see flowers in my still lifes. Whatever the subject, it is the mood that I want you to experience.
A graduate of Kent State University, I have a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a major in graphic design. I am also a signature member of OWS. I have worked in the commercial art field and am currently devoting my time to painting and substitute teaching. My continuing studies have included workshops with Don Getz, Marc Moon, Judy Carducci, Fred Graf, Paul St. Denis and Don Andrews.
