***Welcome to my Art Website*** :)
Hello :),
I'm Katerina Koukiotis and I'm a Traditional/Fantasy/Portrait artist from N.Y
I come from a Greek background, I live and was
Raised in N. Y. Queens.
As common as it may sound from artists
I did start drawing from a young age,
mostly faces and portraits of my favorite subjects
I'm self taught I never received any formal art of training.
A few years ago i decided to
pursue my art career professionally
and I'm so happy that I did.
Since then a lot of good and positive things happened artwise
for me
that I'm very proud of.
I had my artwork commissioned, sold, licensed and published,
below you can read some of my art awards and publications.
My Art style is realism mixed with fantasy
which I love
Drawing.
I draw and create from reference and Imagination.
I love fantasy art because it's fun and magical
and portrait art because I like capturing peoples
expressions and emotions.
I love working with graphite pencils but
I enjoy experimenting with other art mediums as well.
I'm influenced by and admire many different art styles
and use many different inspirations for my art
including my love for fairytales, the Bible, my Greek heritage,
life, nature, books and other artists works I admire.
It would be impossible for me to list every artist out there I admire
but I hope one day my art can evoke the same feelings
in people my favorite artists have for me :)
I believe God gives us all a special talent and gift
and it's up to us
how we take care of those special talents
either be the ability to
teach,draw,sing,dance
whatever God has given us he has also
provided us the will,
patience and wisdom to do them well.
I thank
God for the heavenly gift of art he has blessed me with.
I receive a lot of questions from student artists asking for advice
how to improve their art etc...
the number one thing i always tell them
is to believe in themselves and practice as much as they can,
If you have a passion and love for something be devoted,
work hard
and go after it.
It's never too late to go after your dreams.
When i don't do art i like to do other things like
watch movies, go
online,
read, watch TV (mostly LOST, I'm addicted to that show)
, Listen to music, play
games,scrapbooking,knitting,
shopping(especially for art
materials),
baking,gardening.
I'm a pretty simple quiet shy person
I like to be around people
that make me feel comfortable
that are down to earth,funny,
that
love to laugh, and don't take everything so serious ,
but most of all are
KIND.
I Hope you enjoy looking at my art as much as I enjoy creating it.
I would like to thank all the people who supported me,
bought,licensed
and commissioned my art, it means a lot to me.
If you like to commission me
for an artwork please read my Commissions page for more info.
Thank you for visiting my Art website,

Take care ~Katerina ~ :)
