Genealogy

I earned my amateur (ham) radio license in February, 1963 when I lived in Texas and was assigned novice call letters WN5FJQ. After six weeks of CW (Morse code) as a novice, I wanted to talk on the air (not use a telegraph key) so I upgraded to the General Class call, WA5FJQ (The letter N in my call was changed to an A).When I moved to California in 1966, I was assigned the call WB6VAM. In 1978, I upgraded to Advanced Class and received the call KB6DM. Since I had no say in the assignment of the above calls, I decided to take advantage of the vanity call program and chose W6CMS, my initials, as my latest call sign. Ham Radio

	My computer is only a little bit more modern than the Mac SE (circa 1990) pictured to the left. I use a Power Macintosh 7100/66 (1994).   U of Texas Mac Archive, Mac Shareware, etc.
Miscellaneous

Knee Replacement - On 22 May 2001, I had total knee replacement surgery on my left knee.
