This is page twenty-six of the
Keeping Catholics Catholic
Network. This site is dedicated
to the Holy Spirit.

You may be wondering why we call the Third
Person of the Holy Trinity a Spirit, here the word
Spirit-like in old English, Ghost-is best
understood as Breath. This is the root
meaning; our ordinary word spirit comes
from it, because spirit is invisible, as air is.
It is in its root meaning that Spirit is the
name of the Third Person-He is the Breath or
Breathing of the Father and the Son.

THE THIRD PERSON OF THE BLESSED TRINITY

This heading implies two truths:
1). The Holy Spirit is a Person really
distinct as such from the Father and
the Son.

2). He is God and consubstantial with
the Father and the Son.

The Fruits of the Holy Spirit

(1). CHARITY
(2). JOY
(3). PEACE
(4). PATIENCE
(5). BENIGNITY
(6). GOODNESS
(7). LONGANIMITY
(8). MILDNESS
(9). MODESTY
(10). CONTINENCY
(11). CHASTITY
