The Hills Have Eyes...

"Decebalus, has rearmed his Dacians and begun systematic attacks of our garrisons north of the Danube.  It is rumored that the Governor of Dacia has fallen on his sword rather than be taken as a hostage.  We have come recently from a battle, where most of our legion has been destroyed.  We ave lost all of our baggage and artillery.  With our small force (III Cohors Legionarie, II Cohors Pedites,  II Turmae of Equites and some Sagatarii), we are fighting our way to the Danube.  We hope to ford the river and make for the safety of the legion camp at Viminacium.  I fear by the time this reaches you events will already have decided out fate. "

This scenario is based on an article in Slingshot #215, by Tony Welch.  The Roman commander must get his forces from one end of the table to the other (and survive).  The Dacians will arrive at random times and places along the table and try to prevent this.  Terrain on the table will make a direct march impossible.
