Caumsett's Bluffs
Long Island Sound

Well here we are, my brother Tom Caggiano wearing the white safety helmet and me, Ken, wearing the blue one. The day was great and we enjoyed our biking ride on the Caumsett many trails along the North Shore of Long Island.

We got off our bikes and took a short hop to sit by the waves and listen to the quiet and the soothing sounds of the beach breakers.

In Caumseet, Connecticut on the horizon in the distance seems only a stone's throw away.

Look by the water and you'll see a visitor meeting at 2 swans swimming along in the Long Sound.

One of the treats one gets is seeing the unexpected.
Seeing a pair of swans swimming along among the waves of the saltwater breakers in the Long Island Sound was surely one of them. Those guys were just waddling along the waves with the water gently breaking under them.
Talk about being care free, these birds just let you almost walk up and touch them as they were just enjoying themselves for a day's outing.
In Caumseet, one can easily get up to the bluffs on the North Shore and the views of the Sound are truly expansive.

One can take an isolated 1 mile walk along the shoreline on the Caumsett pennisula and bike or walk along its many pathways.
