Kenny's Bolo Site

14-April-98
Sorry, people. As most know, Bolo is not as popular as it was 2 years ago - that's the main reason for my lack of updating. Well, now that I have a cable modem, it's alot easier so I may update a little more than I used to. In this update I have fixed bad links and deleted non-existent ones, as well as added a few things.
About Bolo

Bolo is a very cool multiplayer tank game for the Mac made by Stuart Cheshire that you can play on Appletalk networks, the Internet, and by modem. In Bolo, you drive your tank around an island which can be the island built-in to Bolo, or an island made from a map editor which you can download from various places. Little stationary things called "pillboxes" and the other players in their tanks can shoot at you, with a few exeptions. (1)You can ally with other people playing in the game in which case they would be your friends, help you out, and of course not shoot you, and (2) if you kill a pillbox (sometimes called "pills"), you can set it down again and it will be loyal to you and shoot your enemies, but it won't shoot you or your allies. Sound fun? Trust me, people - this is probably the best multiplayer game around, and there is much more to the game that I won't cover here.

Downloads
I will make ftp links to various Bolo files that I like here. All of these files need to be expanded and de-Binhexed with Stuffit Expander. Included in the maps section are preveiws and a pill and base count for each map.
