Welcome to the Ki Ayker's Home Page. This web site is dedicated to sea kayaking and kayak surfing. Although geared for entry level paddlers I'd like to think that the content of the following pages will appeal to kayakers of all skill levels. The information I have put forth is, for the most part, the result of your requests. I very much encourage your input, good, bad or indifferent. It is through your comments and criticism that I am able to learn what works and what needs work. So please when you've finished here take a moment to contact me and let me know what you think. These pages are under construction and probably always will be. So let's see what we've got here so far. The trip report is about a little trip I put together in September of 97 to Anacapa Island, one of our Southern California channel islands. The pictures are not great as this was my first attempt at web page construction and I still had a lot to learn (still do). Boats 101 is a basic primer on what to look for in a first sea kayak. It is the result of countless requests for help in differentiating between the myriad of boats available. Then we've got the newest addition, a report on how to fish from a kayak. Again the result of considerable interest and questions having been directed to me on this topic. I'd like to leave you with a picture of some beautiful homemade boats. This was from a small gathering of home builders sponsered by the Kayak Builders of Southern California.
See ya on the water,
Ki Ayker
