Thousand Trails/NACO/Leisure Time Resorts (TTNLTR)
Some of our favorite places to camp are TTN campgrounds. The one we keep going back to often is near La Conner. Situated on Skagit Bay, with a lone tree out on the point upon which eagles perch, beautiful sunsets to watch from the large hot tub, and friendly staff and campers, it is tops. There are often planned activities on weekends with possibly a live band for dancing on Saturday night. The Calico Cupboard restaurant in La Conner is a must for breakfast each time we visit. They have the sweetest buns in town or so their T-shirts say. A first-class bakery is located in the entry room where you wait to be seated. Nearby, on Whidbey Island, there is Deception Pass State Park plus many interesting towns such as Coupeville. We often have lunch there at the Knead & Feed Restaurant where you'll find great soups, salads, and homemade bread. And, you must top it off with a piece of their excellent pie. They are on the water, up the hill in the old part of town, down a stairway. You have to look carefully to spot their sign.
