One of the radest bands around is The Mr. T Experience. Hailing from Berkeley California, this trio,since the 80's, have been crankin out most awesome sets of poppy punk music you can imagine. They are fan friendly, and most entertaining to watch. Their latest cd, "Love Is Dead" is said to be their best yet, so get yer copy today!

Here is the latest news surrounding the righteous band of MTX!! I've given my word to keep the source of this information private, but you can be well assured that the stuff here is as *reliable* as it gets!!!

BRAVOS

**"Big Black Bugs Bleed Blue BLood" (an early album of MTX) is scheduled to be rereleased this month (MAY!!). This has remixes plus a TON of bonus tracks which fills the entire cd.

**The new full MTX album is scheduled for an August release date, AND an EP scheduled to appear before then. Some catchy titles from the new MTX songs are: "Lawnmower of Love" "Swiss Army Girlfriend" (comparing a girl to the handy Swiss Army Knife). " Hell of Dumb" (like Hella Dumb). "And I Will Be With You" (A real toe tapper!). "King Dork" "The Weather's Here, Wish You Were Beuatiful"(instead of the usual reverse saying). "My Looks and Your Brains." The EP will also include an Elton John cover of "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" with Dr. Frank and Kim Shattuck (of the Muffs) singing a duet. (I think its CUTE when Dr. Frank n Joel sing that one as a duet... show the love in the band of MTX!!)

**as an extra side to those of you who dig the MTX side band "BOMB BASSETS" the new cd will have the title track of "Take a Trip With" and although no one has seen the actual album cover on it, it is suppose to have a "... the Bomb Bassets" on it. "Take a Trip with ...the BOMB BASSETS" is scheduled for July. Listen up for one of Joel's songs, "Duh"!!

BOO's

**The latest MTX video for the song "I Fell For You" apparently will NOT be played by MTV. This sucks big because, according to my source, "it really is fetching"... As a side note, MTV also did not pick up the latest Queers video... this may be due to the recent rumor that 120 minutes had a staff turnover and seems to be playing more major label bands than ever before. I know there are mixed opinions about MTV out there, but for any of you wanting to see the new video for MTX you won't be getting it on MTV.. maybe if ya didn't hate the channel before, you will now!


TOUR INFO: The band will tour for most certain in September, after the release of the new album. The Muffs will be touring in July, and have asked MTX to play some shows for them... nothing is arranged as of yet... but I will post as soon as I get any info on dates and venues... so please.. check back regularly!!

Experience. It's quite flattering. I wasn't sure whether it was a good
idea to play those Less than Jake shows because I know it's not our crowd,
but we did them because of the possibility that people might see us who
wouldn't ordinarily see us and that they might like it. Well, I'm glad
that our little scheme worked. Anyway, thanks again for writing and for
your generous, kind words. I venture to say that it's not everyday you get
complimented by a 19 yr old chick from san diego.
