No. Gerry was a fan of Unwin, whose comedic gimmick was a nonsensical way of speaking that came to be known as "Unwinese", and wanted to use him in a production in some way. When JOE 90 finished its run and THE SECRET SERVICE was still in planning stages, the part of the offbeat pastor/spy was created and written specifically for Unwin, who also provided the full-body double in the live-action shots.Next Question
