"A World of Difference."

Welcome to eMULE:

This is the text file of current information on the internet mail list(called eMULE) and the band(GOV'T MULE). It directs you to official Gov't Mule tour/release information as well as describing how to tweak the way eMULE comes to you and how to get off eMULE if you need.

NEWS FLASH: ***Official tour and
band information***

* GOV'T MULE now have an official tour hotline. This is THE place to get the most up to date information right from the Mule's mouth. The number is: (212)803-5459

* GOV'T MULE now has an official web site. If you have access to the World Wide Web, this is THE place to access all up to date information from the Mule's mouth. The address is: MULEnet (www.MULE.net)

If you can check out both the tour hotline and the web site, you have all of the confirmed and up-to-date information...PERIOD! These resources have been provided for you, by the band and it's management. These resources are designed to get all of us fans as much confirmed information as soon as possible. It also should help relieve some of the pressure from a lot of individual questions and calls(along with repeated question and answers) directly to the band or it's management. So take that for what it's worth.

About your subscription to eMULE:

As you start on eMULE, you are set up to get individual emails of each post to eMULE. Some people find this to be way too many individual emails that tend to flood their email box. You have the option of getting eMULE in the DIGEST format. This means that all posts to eMULE for the day are saved up and then all sent to you under one email. If the DIGEST sounds like a better option to you, follow this link to the eMULE "options" web page.
Select "DIGEST" and send.

You will get an email from eMULE confirming your change.

Select Digest

*****If you find for whatever reason you want to UNSUBSCRIBE from eMULE, follow the link below marked "UNSUBSCRIBE" and select that option from the form and send:

UNSUBSCRIBE

You will get an email from eMULE confirming your change. Please always feel free to email myself(Kirk Anderson at kirka@aol.com or John Curatolo (at jvc2@cornell.edu) if you've read through these instructions and still need a little help.

ABOUT eMULE:

We're basically a bunch of fans, musicians and a few industry people sprinkled in for a good mix. We are subscribers from all over the US, Canada and Mexico. We also are subscribers from Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and South America. We're pretty laid back so feel free to either ask questions, make comments or add anything you think is appropriate. The band does read some of these posts and encourages the fans to say it like they feel it. The following information will get you up to speed on the ongoing topics from the past 5 years or so of eMULE. Please save and read this file. It'll help you understand a lot of the topics going on in eMULE.

We try to get and share any info on Gov't Mule from set lists, fan reviews, press reviews, tour dates, recording information, peripheral gigs(like Warren doing a solo gig or some of the band sitting in with other bands.). I encourage you to bring copies of recent issues of eMULE to Gov't Mule shows that you may go to. It'll give you something to talk to the band about (instead like me, I usually stare and say, "thanks" and then walk off) as well as help let the Mule know that there are a lot of us fans on-line who are looking for tour/recording info. This is a great time to ask if anything new is happening soon....

The rest of the information comes from dedicated Mule fans who help us with road reports and information they found out while talking to the band at the shows. So enjoy the information, the access and help contribute some information if you can. If you would like to submit some information but for whatever reason don't want your e-mail address broadcast on eMULE, you can send me the information with that request. I'll be glad to pass along the info...incognito.

Thanks, Without your help...

Thanks also to all you at Hard Head Management, Gov't Mule's management, for being so cool as to make sure that all of us are getting up to date information on where the Mule is playing and what they are up to. The Mule's road team is changing and we'd like to remember all of those who have been cool to the fans at all of their shows. People like Doc Fields, Kirk West, Chris Ricciardi, EJ "El Jefe" Devokaitis, Brodie, Eric, Johnny Mo and so many more. Thanks also to all of the people at Capricorn Records who really give a damn about the band and seem to really fit in amongst MULE fans. Please be cool to them because they are cool with us. The fastest way to get a "NO" back from the road staff is to forget protocol and demand special attention."Patience is a virtue." by...er....uh.....tour mystic was it?

By the way, Kirk West and Kirk Anderson are two different people. Kirk West is the road manager and historian for the Allman Brothers Band and former road manager for the Mule. I am Kirk Anderson. I have been a tour and road manager for several bands including the Oakley Krieger Band and the Robbie Kriger Band. Also a major fan of Gov't Mule

In closing, I'd like to publicly thank those who contributed a few rubles to make sure that eMULE keeps on going and helped us move from an erratic manual mail list to an automated ListSERV here at NETSPACE. So besides eMULE being a vehicle of information that helps the fans, the band, the clubs where the Mule play, the Mule's disc distributors and management, eMULE also helps perpetuate the PHISH Project at NETSPACE. This Project specifically sets aside room on the Brown University server for bands like PHISH, Gov't Mule and many other bands like the Allman Brothers Band, Aquarium Rescue Unit and Fiji Mariners who want to provide a place to exchange information between a band and its fans.

To each of you, I thank you for the support of the reason for all of this....GOV'T MULE:
