About the Academy
Min's Karate Academy is run by Grand Master Young Ui Min who holds the highest rank of 9th degree black belt in this traditional Korean martial art. Grand Master Min has served as an instructor for the Korean Army Tiger Division, held the title of National Tang Soo Do Champion and was chosen as the Karate Master for the Osan Air Force Base. He has over 40 years teaching experience and also offers instruction in Hap Ki Do and Kum Do.
Min's Karate Academy offers instruction in Tang Soo Do, Hap Ki Do, and Kumdo. Instruction in Tang Soo Do includes forms, weapons (such as num chucks, staffs, and knives), sparring, and breaking. Hap Ki Do involves self-defense based on escape, strikes, and pressure points. Kumdo is training in swords.
The Camp Hill location offers classes for preschoolers, school age children, adults, families/mixed, and private lessons.
Min's Karate Academy also has a satelite school located in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
Our Location
Located in the Harrisburg area, Min's Karate Academy is at 3501 Market Street, Camp Hill, PA, just west of Wormleysburg and Lemoyne. South of Enola, and north east of Mechanicsburg and Shiremanstown, it is only two blocks west on Market St. off route 15. It is situated near the point where route 11-15 splits and where route 11 changes from Market St. to the Carlisle Pike.
