(this probably meant that he hauled the wheat for the troops).
ROBERT PAGE was born about 1754, probably in Goochland, Virginia. He was the son of Exolheath Page and Christian Page. He married Rachel Brockman, daughter of John Brockman and Mary Collins Brockman, on December 26, 1773. Rachel was the grand daughter of Samuel and Mary Brockman of the County of Orange Virginia.

JOHN PAGE was born March 26, 1777 in Virginia. He was the son of Robert Page and Rachel Brockman Page. He was married on March 27, 1796 to Dorcas Smith, daughter of Fleming Smith and Prudence Bland Smith. John also lived in Spartanburg County, South Carolina and Cumberland County, Kentucky, which later became Monroe County, Kentucky. He was a trustee of the Cumberland Baptist Church. His home, in Monroe County, Kentucky was located near Meshack Creek.

John Page died on May 28, 1819, Dorcas Smith Page died on May 17, 1865. Dorcas Smith Page's father, Fleming Smith lived in Fairfax and Prince William Counties, Virginia, Spartanburg County, South Carolina, and Cumberland County, Ky (later to be divided into Monroe County, Ky.) He was married to a Prudence Bland. He was a revolutionary War veteran. He lived to the age of 102. There is a stone for him at Old Mulkey in Monroe County.
JOHN BROCKMAN PAGE was born February 11, 1801 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. He was the son of John Page and Dorcas Smith Page. He also lived in Tennessee and Monroe County, Kentucky. He married Margaret H.(Maggie) Bennett, daughter of John and Sarah Jane Jones Bennett, on January 11, 1820. Margaret was born in apx. 1801.

Merritt Page, wrote in his genealogy, that John Brockman Page had served as minister at the Skaggs Creek Church. He died August 11, 1880 and is said to be buried at the Skaggs Creek Cemetery. Margaret H. Bennett Page died July 4, 1883. There were several grave sites where the stones had been broken or removed. Merritt Page, Pansy Page Allison & Helen Marie Page Scott had a stone erected in the honor of John Brockman Page.
JOHN B. PAGE, JR. was born May 1,1829. He was the son of John Brockman Page and Margaret H. Bennett Page. His nickname was "Tuff". He served with the Union Army during the Civil War. He died August 12, 1910. According to the 1850 census records, he first was married to a Nancy (Hutchins) . He was living at home, he was 21, Nancy was 15. John and Nancy were married in 1850. Nancy's birth is listed in the Page family Bible as 4-22-1835.

John B. Page, Jr. (1829) next married Sarah J. Murley on a public road in Monroe County, Kentucky on October 12, 1877. Sarah was the daughter of William B. and Permelia D. Murley of Burksville, Kentucky.

John B. Page, Jr. lived in Meshack, Monroe County, Kentucky. The 1890 census was destroyed by fire. The abbreviated census, Soundex System, also contained some errors in 1880. It listed Sarah J. Murley Page as (J.S.) and showed her age as (47). She was really 27 in 1880. This error was caused by a bad figure on the census. The 1870 census showed a 17 year old Sarah J. Murley, living a few farms away from the Page family. The 1900 census shows her as Sallie J. (age 47). Sarah was apparently called Sallie. This made some confirmations pretty difficult. Other facts are: Leslie and Wesley are known to be half brothers of William W. Page, who was born in 1883.

Link Page and John B. Page, Jr. (1829) are buried at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, on Hwy 100, east of Scottsville--off the road about 1/2 mile--can be seen from road. Cemetery is behind the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. There is a stone for Link but none could be located for John B. Page, Jr.
WILLIAM WHITE PAGE was born December 23, 1883, in Meshack, Kentucky, in Monroe County. He was the son of John B. Page, Jr. and Sarah J. Murley Page. He married Cora Elizabeth England, daughter of James and Hester Fults England, on April 26, 1903. (name listed as Hester Fultze on birth certificate) He lived in Gamelial, Ky for a while, then moved to Scottsville, in Allen County Kentucky. Around 1919-1920 the family moved to Bowling Green, Kentucky for about one year, then moved to Louisville, Kentucky. Willie worked at the Louisville Water Co.for a while. He later worked at the Louisville Cooperage Co. where he made staves for barrels. He died on December 1, 1965 after getting sick taking a flu shot. Cora Elizabeth England Page died on October 5, 1980 at the age of 96. They are buried at the Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery, located at 4400 Bardsown Road, in Louisville.Willie's brothers and sisters are listed above.

HELEN MARIE PAGE, daughter of William White Page and Cora Elizabeth England Page, was born on November 9, 1913 in Scottsville, Kentucky. She married Charles Edward Scott, son of William Lee Scott and Sallie Tucker Harris Scott, on October 8, 1933 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Helen worked at F.W. Woolworth as a young lady. After raising her four children she went back to work and retired from the J.C. Penny Co. Helen has been very active at the Walnut Street Baptist Church. She sings in the seniors choir and bowls in the church league. She likes to walk for her health and has competed in many road races. She often finishes ahead of runners many years her junior. She has, in her trophy collection, awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishes in the Kentucky Derby Mini-Marathon. Children: Shirley J., Charles E. Jr., Linda C., Kenneth R..

JOHN B. PAGE (1855) son of Smith Page was born August 16, 1854. He married Amanda Hagan on December 20, 1873, in Monroe County. He died February 28, 1934. She died September 9, 1913. They are buried at the Old Mt. Herman Cemetery located off Hwy 1049 at the Mt. Herman Church.
JOHN B. PAGE, Captain, Co. K, 5th Kentucky Calvary, Union Army. He was born on July 16, 1823 and died on June 14, 1875. He is buried at the Page-Biggers Cemetery, located on the right of Hwy 1049 going from Tompkinsville, Ky across from the Bray home. He was married to Josephine and later to Eisaphena Page.
JOHN B. PAGE, born October 21, 1848, married Nancy J. Hagan on December 2, 1869. Witness was A. B. Page. He died November 18, 1923. He and Nancy are buried at Skaggs Creek Cemetery, located on Hwy 163 at Skaggs Creek Church between Tompkinsville and the crossroads.

John B. Page, Jr., (1829) enlisted into Co. K, 5th Regiment, Kentucky Calvary Volunteers on December 6, 1861. He was mustered into service on March 31, 1862 at Camp Sandige, Gallatin, Tennessee. He was listed as a Private. He was later transferred to Company L, 3rd Kentucky Calvary in 1865.
