Putting some of my favorite pages in the spotlight!

Currently I'm working on a Birthday Party Album for my son. Some of the pages below are from that book...

This is from a Chuck E. Cheese party. The large cheese is a ScrapEase jumbo die-cut, the small one I made using a cirle and oval punch for the holes.

This is of a birthday cake from the rodeo party, the sign is copied after the one that was on top of the cake and the cactus people are also copies of the cookies that were on the cake. I made them by simply doctoring up some die cuts.

This page is of all the kids doing the pinata. It was done using the star Puzzlemates. The center is a sticker, and the matte colors were done to reflect the colors in the pinata.

This is one of the "transition pages" from year to year in Miles' Birthday Party Scrapbook. The journaling includes information about things he liked, who his friends were and some of the things that were happening in our life and in the world (you can get this from the dMarie Time Capsule ) at the time of his birthday.

This is another page from Miles' birthday party scrapbook, his second birthday was a baseball theme. The pinata was shaped like a baseball, so I used baseball die cuts, drew the red lines on the with a ZIG pen, and created the wood swingset bar at the top with brown paper and drew wood grain on it with the ZIG colored pencils.

This page tells the story of Miles' birth, and is included in my Family Album. Since the pictures didn't seem to lend themselves to bright colors, and I wanted to do lots of journaling, I created it to look like an article in a newspaper. Again, I used the computer for journaling.
