Airfoils - this site at the University of Illinois will get you the latest data on low Reynolds number airfoils. You can download airfoil data and plot airfoils on-line. This is the "everything you wanted to know about airfoils" site. Model Aeronautical Association of Australia covers all aspects of aeromodelling in Australia, but it is maintained by Raymond Pike, an avid e-flier. You can pick up quite a bit about Australian e-modelling from this site. Stop by for a visit. Andre's Aircraft - Andre McFayden's electrically powered aircraft including: Hummel, Dragon Lady & Twinstar. Australian Electric Flight Association now has its own homepage. They are only a small group and meet once a month. Bruce Johnson has setup the page by himself, and it still needs some work, but is coming along fine. Their newsletter and back issues are available here. Wattage SlowFlyer B-2 by Jean-Louis Naudin of France. Photos and English text of his project. Jan Bassett's Radio Control Models Updated 11/02 has photos and info on the planes that Jan has built, many of which are electric. He also has an aerofoil Calculator & Printer which is an Excel spreadsheet created to allow the plotting of aerofoil sections; an automatic battery discharger; battery monitor; foam wing with lightening holes; sound generator; speed brakes for sailplane; steering take off dolly ; Super Star 40 Modifications; and a pusher thrust bearing Howard Battan's Radio Controlled Electric Powered Airplanes Howard shares photos of several of his projects. David A. Beardsley of Everett, Washington, has some nice pictures of his e-planes here. You can also return to his homepage and learn more about Dave's modelling background. Bob Benjamin's Flight Images Bob is a well known electric scale and sport designer and writer. Here is where he shares his information with the rest of us! This is a great site. Check it out soon! Bob Benton has created a great site for the electrified version of the Sig Senior Kadet and his many variations. Check them out! Blue Foamie with Ailerons, Sebastian Hammer has a site dedicated to the "Blue Foamie", produced by Pat Mattes. It shows how he flattened the wing and added ailerons. Beaver Pilot hosted by Harold Clark is where you will find information about the PSSF (Puget Sound Silent Fliers), including their May 30/31, 1998 E-fly. The rest of his site covers his life in aviation, full size aircraft (a Beechcraft 35 Bonanza and a DeHavilland Beaver), personal R/C flight activities, and the full size aircraft associations he belongs to (SPA for Seaplane Pilots Association, and WSPA for Washington State Seaplane Pilots Association). BEFA - the British Electric Flight Association have a wonderful newsletter, and here is another great place to keep in touch with them. They have a very good document, in Adobe .pdf format for beginners. It can be downloaded from this site. Mike Blott's Radio Control Projects Page has several ideas, tips and projects for Speed 400 type planes and more. Chris Boultinghouse shares years of experience in sailplanes, ELECTRICS and IC flying. His aircraft kits are now available at Taking Wing. Paul Bradley's Model Airplane Web Page Free Flight Models, Electric Powered Radio Control Models, Construction of rolled balsa tube motor stick, Chart for determining the density of 3" x 36" balsa sheets, Photos from an indoor events and more, including some of Paul's plans. Cesare de Robertis, publisher of the bi-monthly model magazine "Modellismo", now the most succesful aeromodelling magazine in Italy, has a site. It is not exclusively electric, but he does believe that "The Future Is Electric"! Pontus Claesson's Homepage shows how he converted a Great Planes Lear Jet to an electric ducted fan (EDF) using 20 cells. Until about 4 years ago, he was a gas model flier, and now only flies electric. His page is beautiful and has very good information about his planes. Updated site: 01/24/04 Design A Propeller, hosted by Dr. Martin Hepperles is an interactive web site where you can learn and try propeller design. Lots of theory and information. Doc Watson's Boeing X32b Construction Site, hosted by Dr. Andrew H. Watson in the UK, shows the design and construction of his EDF version of the STOVL Boeing X32b model. Eddie's World, hosted by Eddie Flemming of Queensland, Australia, shares his planes and photos of the Australian Nationals. Eduardo's home page in Mexico has many three view drawings (185 right now) of warplanes that you can download and turn into plans. He also says, If there is any plane drawing you want posted, and I have it, I will gladly do it. Electric Flight in Colorado, hosted by Chuck Gadd, plane photos and links. Electric R/C Helicopter Homepage maintained by Akihiro Takeshita in Japan has lots of interesting information on electric powered helicopters. Electronic-Circuits for Model-Aircrafts hosted by Johann Aichinger, many projects including several speed controls (ESC). Electroinc Projects for R/C hosted by Tony van Roon has a lot of helpful projects and circuits including servo testers and peak detector chargers. eRC - Electric R/C Airplanes hosted by Steve Wilson of Green Bay, WI - includes information and pictures of his and his friends planes. Jim Bourke maintains the E Zone. It is devoted to electric flight, and is the official home of the electric R/C frequently asked questions list. Electric Model Aircraft Circuit Diagrams, hosted by Tim Smith has several projects including; Nicad Battery Discharger/Capacity Indicator, Servo plug lead description, and Servo plug lead description. There are also a HUGE amount of links to other electronic projects including chargers, ESCs and more. Electronic Projects for E-flight (R/C Electric Powered Interactive). Robert Riggle, Webmaster for the Bay City Flyers and electric flyer for 10+ years, has posted a few Projects for fellow E-flyers. "How to turn your PC into a battery cycler", "Make an Adjustable Voltage motor controler for bench top motor testing", and "How to turn your PC into a Peak charger and battery cycler". Worth a visit to see what's happening in Canada. You can also get very good e-flight articles from past newsletters. the Elektro Soft site is maintained by Jeff Venqueleir, De Wijngaardstraat 49, 2110 Wijnegem, Belgium. He offers a free demo download of his Elektro Soft motor program, which contains more than 600,000 motor records. There is also a lot of motor data available on his site. eModelo Radio Control Electric Airplanes is a great site to visit! It is located in Spain and mostly in Spanish, but don't let that stop you. There is plenty of great info there, and even easy for me to read most of it with only 1/2 year of Spanish in college. There are also lots of FREE download e-flight programs in English! Great pictures of planes as well. Visit this one soon. It is maintained by Jose Ignacio Vicente. Excellently done site. Electric Pylon Racing Todd Sheehan has a page devoted to electric pylon racing. It includes information about S400 & F5D models, a contest calendar and race results. E-Runway Hosted by Eric Tan Tiong Soon, has photos and info on his eplanes and links to other sites. F5B site (RECENTLY UPDATED) maintained by Mike Seale. You can learn more about these high powered e-flying machines by visiting Mike's site. Their performance has to be seen to be believed! New information includes aerofoils (polars etc), building a wing (using his own 1GBP vac pump and 50 pence 'feathercut'), images from the 1998 world championships and images of models flown in the UK this year. David Fee has information on his electric projects, planes, his friends' planes and his school (UCSB). Free Flight Fantasies hosted by Thayer Syme. It is a good source for free flight information, but also has some nice electric R/C models. Also, check out his real spoked wheels!
Joa Harrison Convaircraft Engine Page. Joa has info on full-scale and models, but most importantly this is the home of the 5-star rated Schoolyard Foamie! Shareware plans are available on the site.. Helmut Felderer of Austria has a nice set of pages on e-flying, especially electric helicopters. Free Electron hosted by Claude Gueniffey in France is dedicated to electric-flight and has a lot of interesting information and pictures. He even has his own rating system for the planes he has built and flown. Wilhelm Geck has data on various motors and other e-flight info. Although it is in German, much of it is very easy to read and figure out. Don't be afraid to give this one a try. If you have a question, he can respond to you in English. The Geisenhausen Modellers site is maintained by Josef Hoelzl and connects you to Josef's club, electric info and events in Germany and Europe, technical data on motors, speed controllers & Josef's own models. Very nice place to visit! Fred Guilfoyle's "Guide to my Web" features building and flying the Pico jet, Bleriot III, Sig LT-25e and Highlighter. Jon Hopkinson has some photos of his nice planes, especially a 25-size Jenny. He is also looking into slow flight, especially indoor. High Voltage by Craig Kulesa, an e-flyer in Arizona, has an extremely well laid out site. The site is updated constantly, so return often He has many interests, including electric R/C planes. Besides being a visually pleasing site, it contains intersting information and photos. Well worth the visit! The Hover Pad maintained by Randy Richardson, contains tips, tricks, advice and more electric R/C helicopters. Indoor Model Aeroplane hosted by Daniel Hartstein is an excellent resource site to find out about indoor R/C flying. There are links to suppliers and other indoor info sites. Indoor R/C Flying @ Urban Links Indoor flying in the Madison Wisconsin area. Includes photos, info and map. Stop by and check out some indoor activity. Jon's Designer can help you design your plane and even give you a drawing of the proposed plane. Be sure to read the info further down his page to help you "fill in all the right numbers." KAN Kerken Airfield News (A Favorite of MINE!)This is a "glider" site in Germany (Yes it is in English), but not just for gliders! They have lots of e-info. Their site/newsletter has a lot of information on Speed 400, 500, 600 & 700 motors. A worthwhile trip! K. Kataoka's Room of Electric R/C Helicopters --- a lot of good info, pictures and movies of electric R/C choppers, with links to other chopper sites and info. Tim Knowles has pictures of his Gee Bee, made from FREE plans on this site. This is a zip file. Bob Kuhn has a site that lists many interesting links that he has found, including several weather sites.

I found the review of the Jeti pocket charger quite interesting. Kurt Moraw, in Germany, has put up a very interesting site about Electric Helicopters. It is a wealth of practical information, including a daily log of his learning. Available in both English and German. Craig's Electric R/C Airplanes Craig Limber has some nice photos of his planes and info. Planes include; Electra, Hots, Skyvolt, ElectroStreak, Snapper, Soarwatt & Dimwatt. LVRCS club site Although a multipurpose club, Jason, the maintainer of the site, is into electrics, so you will find e-info there as well. They also host an electric fly-in in Easton, PA. Marciano of Argentina has a site in both Spanish and English. Being a musician, he visits the U.S. often. On his site you can see some of his e-projects and some of friends, both in Argentina and the U.S. Pat Mattes, 9732 Lafayette Center Road, Yoder, IN 46798, will get you to his pages where you can learn more about the now FAMOUS "Blue Foamie" glider that he makes and sell. Model Aero Club Concord 2000 is located in Belgium. This site have photos and links to other interesting sites. They wish to exchange information with other clubs and individuals around the world. Model Aeronautical Association of Australia Check out the world "down-under". There are lots of interesting things to learn here, as well as some links to some e-sites. A very nicely done site, maintained by Raymond Pike, an e-flier himself! Mike Norton Speed 400 controller design found here that you can build. Pat's Custom Models hosted by Pat Tritle of Albuquerque, NM has plans sale for many nice planes and some parts and partial kits, including the Verti-go, which was reviewed in the Ampeer. The site is written in French, but I could easily tell what was being shown. You can write to him in English or German, as well as French.
Robert Pike's Web Page This site feature's 3 of Robert's very nice e-planes, a 'Liberty Sport' Biplane, 'Navigator' Flying Boat, & 'P-51 Mustang'. There are also many photos of his friends' planes. A great place to visit to see "What Works" with electric power. Includes photos taken from his plane. Plane Performance Predictor from Whirlwind Systematics (William Sears) will allow you to do online flight predictions and setups of proposed new e-planes in real time. It is a Java applet, so you need a Java enabled browser to use it (most of the new ones are). Planos R/C hosted by Fernando Lopez has hundreds of free downloadable RC airmodeling construction plans in CAD and gif format (over 300!!) Stop by and check them out. The Prop Page hosted on a very interesting site by Martin Hepperle. On this page you'll find out how to measure pitch. There are also connections from this page to: Design a Prop, Optimum Propellers, How a Propeller works and Equivalent Multiblade Propellers. There is also information on flying wings and their airfoils and much, much more. Lee Raesly has a very nice site. He lives in Maryland and does both glow and e-power flying. Good pictures of models. Very easy to use, with lots of info for beginners. This is the place to register stolen models and equipment and to check to what's been stolen. Rasmus R/C Aircrafts located in Sweden has over 50 plans in various CAD-formats and links to some FREE R/C flight simulators. Kim Rossey's R/C Electric Flight Server He has a very powerful conference server on his system that is dedicated to R/C Electric Flight. It is new (11/26/98)and therefore quite void :) but he hopes to get more interested. It has message bases, listservers, IRC Chat and a lot more. Silent Knights Soaring Society hosted by John Kirchstein This is the site and place to get information about the Silent Knights Soaring Society, Newark, DE. They are a sailpane and electric models club. Sailplane & Electric Modeler, a bi-monthly magazine covering sailplanes and e-power. There are more and more well known e-fliers writing for this magazine each month. You can subscribe (highly recommended) from this site.

It is in Adobe Acrobat .pdf format. This is the club with Steve Neu and Jerry Bridgeman! Don't know who they are, FAI World Electric Champs! This site has a new CHAT function - stop by for a chat with fellow e-flight modellers. Silent Sling hosted by K.C. Tsang, out of Singepore, is a gallery of soaring, thermal and electric flight in Asia. This site even includes movies! SeaGull Technologies Plans for selfmade CNC cutting machine & selfmade automatic foam cutter. Also other projects. Slow Flyer hosted by Vladimir Muller. Shows and tells about slow flying by Vladimir and his group in Prague, Czech Republic, with model descriptions and specs. David Summers of Toronto, Canada has an interesting site with photos of electric float planes and flying boats (water babies), ariel photos and more. SUTHO's Electric Powered Aircraft hosted by Richard Sutherland of Australia, has lots of Speed 400 info and stories. He is also hosting a page for Peter Mundik that has more S-400 planes and photos, and a Horton Flying Wing EDF powered by two Red Flame Blaster motors and fans. Team Ariane - hosted by Hannes Delago. This German site has lots of very good info, including a lot of the aerodynamic formulas. This is an excellent site, and why I've been so long in getting it posted, I don't know! I apologize. Head to this site very soon. You'll really enjoy it, and get a lot of information. Hirohi Ueda from Japan, used live in Vancouver, Canada. His web pages on electric R/C airplanes is written in English. You can enjoy the flavor of what is going on electric RC airplane in Japan. The U.S. Airforce Museum at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is a treasure for anyone doing research. Lots of photos, lots of info. Hint: Visit at "Off Peak" times, as is it sometimes not easy to log on to this busy site, but it is worth the wait. Vanaja R/C Flying Club in Finland has some interesting photos and information about R/C flying in Finland and e-flight. They have a very interesting opening graphic, as well. Mr. W's hosted by William Willenbaker shows photo's of his club's field dedication...and has pictures of electric flight at his club field and SAM events. An aerial view was taken by one of the club members with a camera mounted in his Telemaster. The club is in Venice, FL. Ralph Weaver the NEAC (National Electric Aircraft Council) president has his site up and running. The West Calder and District Model Flying Club is a club in Scotland for flying radio controlled model aircraft, electric gliders and thermal sailplanes in the West Lothian, South Lanarkshire, Glasgow, Livingston, Motherwell and Edinburgh areas. They offer access to a tarmac runway, good training, safe parking and a great crowd of people. Winger Models, hosted by Roger Winger, has a site with several plans available for different types of aircraft. Some of the plans can be downloaded from the site and some must be ordered. He's just posted the plans for a Speed 400 Aeronca that many efliers might be interested in.
