My first attempt at a spirit face walking
stick, 1994.
Hickory with sanded
bark.
Second carved stick.
Wood: vine twisted Maple.
Found the first attempt
above to be a little short.
Third walking stick corrected for length.
Wood: vine twisted ?.
The "spot" in the beard is a part of
me.
I have carved several Canes, but unfortunately
have only one close-up of one cane.
Sold the others before I got their pictures.
Wood: vine twisted Hickory. Bark sanded smooth. Handle (right
photo) is an antique white porcelain door knob (have used antique brass
also).
The photo on right also includes a vine twisted
Maple walking stick I carved for my wife. It has a Red Rose Bud at
the top.
All of my other walking sticks (except
one: to be added (sassafras)) have been sold or given away, and I have
no picture.
