Examples of Purl Ridges
The top raised stitches just above the Fair-isle design are made by knitting a two-row purl ridge.
Just below the Fair-isle design is an example of a one-row purl ridge followed by two rows of knit stitches with eyelets and then another one-row purl ridge.
This sample shows two purl ridges, each two rows long, knit in a contrasting color from the stripes above and below.
