A photographic assemblage of geologic features & structures
This is the base page for all my publishing. The goal here is to travel a lot, and then let everyone else see how enlightened I am at the places I visit. The following are links to pages I made where I went into the field of geology with no more than a curious mind and a camera. I am making an attempt, out of love for this field, to make geology more real to people interested by showing that you can get out and see the world's wonders for yourself, instead of just reading about them. Summarized in each of the documents is the extent of what I gained at the particular sites. Information was obtained from a combination of books, web pages, explanations by friends, and application of my own modest knowledge of geology.

Mission Pages

Some of the graphics in the following pages may take a while to load, but I urge to you exercise a little patience as big pictures of cool geology are my work's strong points. In the very least, the following reports should be used as starting points for beginners in the field, nature lovers, fellow science geeks, those in need of some basic info for school projects (perhaps), people looking to recognize a few basic geologic features and structures, or those who feel that certain aspects of geology are not photographed well enough. In any event, I hope you enjoy and comment.

Beware of False Science.

"How come you're the only one in years to act this way? Everyone else is cool but you. Yes, out of thousands, only you, Ken. You do not know the real meaning of science, manners, or life."

~  Says Steve, a "geologist" of Southern California who runs a page dealing in "information" about the "fact" of an impending Mag 10 Earthquake with 20ft surface waves. His angry passage brings light to the fact that what I do is a hobby, by which I have taken it upon myself to share my photographs and observations of nature, and to the best that I can, explain what they are. This is in contrast to what some people do with their free web-space and the validity of documents that contain scientific information should be checked. GOT THAT BERSERKER?????????

I'm silly like that...

Closing Thought

You know you're into geology when your car swerves at least two lanes at the passing of every roadcut. What are your interests? Get out there and do it. Jump into the world and see. Leap onto a topic and devour it. Enlighten yourself, and forget about the chirping whirs of technology. If only for an instant it be, start making use of the best device ever invented: the mind.

These pages will be updated upon convenience, and moments of free time.
Thanks for stopping by,
All pictures free for the taking with my blessings.
