U. S. Sugar's Annual Sugar Festival - Clewiston, Florida
The Clewiston Sugar Festival, sponsored by Clewiston's U.S. Sugar Corporation, is an annual event celebrating the town's primary industry, the growing of sugarcane and the end of the cane harvest. The main events are held annually the third Friday and Saturday in April, and preliminary events the second Friday and Saturday in April in Clewiston, America's Sweetest Town, and Hendry county's largest municipality. Enjoy the old fashioned sugar cane grinding, musical entertainment, exhibits, arts and crafts, and regional food!
The City of Clewiston and Hendry County extends a welcome to all our many visitors to this annual event.
The Sugar Festival Events
Second Friday of April
- 7:30 p.m. - "Miss Sugar" Beauty Pageant at John Boy Auditorium
Seminole Queen at recent Festival Parade
Second Saturday of April
- 9:00 a.m. - Sugar Festival Golf Tournament at the Clewiston Country Club
- 11:00 a.m. - Barbecue Chicken at the Clewiston Library parking lot.
- 7:30 a.m. - 5-K walk/run and Tennis Tournament Finals
- 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Arts and Crafts by Clewiston Professional Women's Club, antique cars, farming equipment, classic cars, regional food, bands, flower show, horseshoe tournament, Taste of Sugar Dessert Contest, entertainment for adults and children
- 7:00 p.m. - Rodeo at Fairgrounds Arena
