The Genealogy Home Page - a list of all kinds of places to get you started on your search for your ancestors - including the really new sites in geneaology.

Kindred Konnections - Online searching through a 70-million name genealogy archive. This is a commercial site, but most of their offerings are free.

Ancestry Home Town - a site which charges a membership fee, but also has searches of several free databases available, including the 52 million+ name Social Security Death Index.
Library of Congress Home Page - searches of their complete list of catalogued books are available. More family history related books than you could ever possibly look at!!!

Genealogy's Most Wanted - a site chock full of links to other sites - mostly personal web pages - including sites linked by surname.

LDS- Family History Centers - the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has the largest repository of family history information in the world.

RootsWeb Genealogical Data Cooperative - The Internet's Oldest and Largest Genealogy Resource.   Includes the Roots-L surname mailing list.
USGenWeb Project - a project to connect genealogy sites from across the United States. Each state has a site which provides resources and contact information for that state.

Family Tree Maker's Genealogy Site - there are a lot of good geneaology software packages, but this is the one I use and their web site has a lot of good searchable information. Traveller Southern Families - The Traveller Cousin Finder is a collection of GEDCOM files presented in html form that may help you locate your relatives or cousins.
